Day 19,759

It’s been a real Monday here in Larryville, with lots of news from the upswing and the downswing of various this and that.

I’m working on getting ready for a revised Microsoft Azure class next week (OK… I know you probably haven’t a care in the world about what I do professionally. Suffice it to say, I teach people how to set-up, administrate, and troubleshoot computer networks and related services).

When I was younger, I was a little bit more.

I, like you, was young once. When I was a young man, I loved to run and jump, and I tried to compete in track and field while I was a college student. I walked on the school’s track and field team and thought I had what it took to run the decathlon.

There’s an old adage, “The older I get, the better I was”. I’m not going to blow smoke up anybody’s backside and present myself to be something more than what I was. I was no meet-to-meet champion. I was better than average in high school, and I thought I could compete at a higher level, so I went out. Never won an event in college. But, I took a run at it.

I did other things as I got older and my interest started to diversify. I’ll maybe append that tomorrow when I get back to writing.

In the meantime, listen to your parents. Go get grampa a beer when he asks. Love you.

Peace y’all.
