Day 20,119

It’s Thursday night in rural Douglas County, and I’m in a bit of a relaxed groove, watching a football, and doing a little research and reading.

Internet here in the county is being a little squirrely. I’ve not been happy with the internet access here ever since we set it up. We’ll see what happens moving forward, but in 2018, internet access sucks.

I know I’ve explained the situation before, but I have two internet service providers. One is satellite-based, with decent speeds, but with a 50 GB per month data cap at the higher speeds. I use far more than 50 GB a month so that connection becomes impractical really quick. The other internet connection is microwave based, and that means we don’t have the data cap as we have with the satellite-based service, but we have to deal more with winds and weather.

I use a service to check my internet speeds. Currently, my internet speed is somewhere between 1999 and 2001.

I miss decent internet speeds.

Not much else to talk about tonight. I’m kind of out of it. Dismayed about this, that, and the other thing. Worried about my wife, who is under the weather.
