Good morning and a very happy Taco Tuesday to you all. Today is 15 April 2025.
Another day for a short note.
I’m delivering a class this week that I haven’t taught in quite some time, and it’s a joy going back through and reviewing some of the content that has faded away into oblivion in my noggin. It’s good to review the old stuff every now and then.
Yesterday was a good day, and I should’ve mentioned one thing… Sunday was a good day for the tabletop group. We didn’t have as many guys around the table, but we did have a good time, and I certainly had some fun. We have several different campaigns going on, and in this particular game, I’m running a grumpy dwarven cleric that likes to solve problems with his warhammer. I got three really good licks in at the close of combat to eradicate a foe with ill intent. The dice were kind.
I picked up a little more work with a short turnaround, so after class today I’ll be reviewing changes to the objective domains for a certification exam. It’s a good hour of work, and these days I don’t shy away from a gig. I can’t say I have much choice, really. I filed for unemployment in February and have yet to see a single payment hit my account yet. Funny – a few years ago someone committed fraud on my unemployment account, and now the Kansas Department of Labor has tighten up security so much that I can’t get access to those funds. There’s an irony in there somewhere.
OK, time for me to get something to eat and get focused on the day ahead.
