Day 19,939

Hey, gang, it’s been a long day here in rural Douglas County.  Lots of stuff going on, and I’m glad things have wound down so I can get back to just being grumpy old curmudgeonly me.

Gracie had some friends over today as part of her first meeting of the “Future Grandparents of America” club. They worked on some pillowcases and needlepoint, and if I know my daughter,  probably got a primer on making quilts.

Dane & I went to the four o’clock Mass this afternoon. We have an appointment tomorrow morning in Topeka to engage in a little gaming, resuming a campaign we started a couple of years ago. It’ll be nice to get back around the table and roll some dice.

Lisa and I had dinner guests tonight, and that was a positive experience.

Other than that, I’m pretty well spent. I’m looking forward to a good night’s sleep, hoping that I can finally kick some of this congestion that has been taking up residence in my lungs for the better part of the last week.
